Awarding of Livelihood and Financial Assistance for Seven OFWs

Seven Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) namely Aiza S. Antonio, Valentina P. Lopez, Warren P. Nemenzo, Vergilio Ursaiz, Darazel Nicolas, Cheryl Caganda and Jane A. Reyes, were awarded by Senator Cynthia Vilar with livelihood packages. The OFWs were given groceries so that they could start their own “sari- sari” stores and be able to start their lives again here in the country. Aside from the livelihood packages, the Senator also provided them with financial assistance. Senator Cynthia Villar also hopes that through the assistance, the seven OFWs would be able to rebuild their lives here with their families. She says that these OFWs do not deserve such maltreatment and abuse.

The seven OFWs, through the help and efforts of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute and Villar SIPAG, were able to get home safely.
