What we do
The Ople Center is currently the designated NGO Representative for the OFW Sector in the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT). As such, the Center is part of a special task force created within the IACAT Secretariat to monitor human trafficking cases involving Filipino migrant workers.
The Ople Center has a team of full-time case handlers providing OFW assistance. From repatriation to reintegration, our team believes that every distressed OFW is entitled to a dignified return and unlimited opportunities for self-recovery and economic growth.
Public Policy & Communication
One of the core competencies of the Ople Center is its ability to analyze and shape public policy as well as provide advice on strategic communications to clients and partners.
The Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute (Ople Center) is a non-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and accredited with the Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT). The Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Foreign Affairs, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, and other IACAT-member agencies are active partners of the Ople Center in its advocacies for migrant workers’ rights and welfare.
